For those who weren’t there at the Icehouse on Sunday was definitely missing out on the party. With BDK artist Twix along with Tiffany Natasha hosting Sexy Sundays/The Vivid N Independent mixtape release party, we defenitely went home with some interesting experiences; not to mention the host of the mixtape DJ Certified was in attendance spinnin’ accompanied by DJ Slimm. It started out with a little karoke; actually it was the drinks then karoke. Between Tiffany Natasha performing YMCA backed up by the Twix Ent. Girls and a couple of other amusing performances, I could tell we were just getting started. After a few more drinks with Mixtape Bros co founder AJ Nino and co host G Boogie, the show was about to start. First up was Ace the Versace Villian; performing his song “Big Money”. Nothing against the Villian but where was the Versace??? The next act to go up was Artisan, whom I heard was fortunate to perform there due to his age; I guess he was trying to tell us with his song titled “On my S#%T”…. laugh now and figure it out when you get home…lol.
DJ Certified held the spot down in between perfomances keeping the crowd going with an assortment of club bangers….oh yeah, I especially like the part where he left the set during karoke; he knows what I’m talkin’ bout…Y-M-C-A!!! One the standout moments was when Self Made Family performed their song entitled ”Go”. Self Made rocked it, but carried a bitter sweet reaction due to a… let’s say an ”impersonator” making it rain front and center stage; I couldn’t help but chuckle…ok I was laughing my ass off!!! That was just a small recap of what went on. We also had a chance to see Mikey VIP get down reppin’ Campfire Music, myself reppin R.E.D.I. Musique and Twix. The Vivid N Independent mixtape reached out to the Indie culture of Las Vegas; showin love for one common cause which is music. Events like these are key to the rise of Hip Hop fellowship in Las Vegas.
