Last night we were able to attend a star studded Gala hosted by Nelly at The Red Rock Hotel’s Club Cherry. Now we have covered events before but this was by far the largest event we have covered since the inception of VividNUrban. Not only were we able to film and photograph from the red carpet, but we were able to have one on one interviews with the artists, including Nelly, Murphy Lee, Paul Wall, Jermain Dupree, Chris Angel, Chingy, and Floyd Mayweather who was by far the most animated. I also got the chance task one of the Universal Execs when they were going to start looking for acts from Las Vegas. Now this may come as a shock to some of you, but she didn’t even know that NEO was from Las Vegas (I know you didn’t either, more on that later). One of the greatest suprises of the night was the appearance of Dr. J, Mr. Julius Irving himself. All of the artists interviewed were very forth coming and polite with the information except one (you’ll see in the video). Overall it was a great experience and a nice accomplishment for such a young site. Shortly after wrapping up, we were invited in to partake of the club. Tired and ready to go, we went in anyway and were pretty blown away but what we saw. Now ofcourse the inside of the club, was just like any other club. No Surprise there, but if you ventured out pool side, that’s where the real party was. After mingling for a while Blaze and I decided to call it good, feeling nice and accomplished for the night.
